THE CONTEXT
Effective policies are essential for promoting sustainable soil health management at local, national, and global levels. However, in many countries, including Uganda, existing policies often do not sufficiently address the challenges affecting soil health. This is mainly attributed to limited political commitment, inadequate funding, fragmented programmes, and insufficient evidence-based information. SOHAI works to bridge this gap by promoting evidence-informed policy development, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, and advocating for sustainable agricultural practices through the following interventions:
